Hypnosis may be the key to a Happier Life
How does hypnosis work?
Hypnotherapy is a very powerful healing modality, with a successful track-record in treating conditions such as smoking, anxiety, depression, obsessions, weight loss/eating disorders, and many others. Kookaburra Advanced Hypnotherapy has taken hypnosis in Melbourne to a higher level. We skilfully use our hypnosis techniques to heal the cause of your problem as opposed to just eradicating the symptoms, which is common practice.
Unfortunately, negative publicity due to the silly antics of Stage Hypnotists and some inaccurate movies have created a fog of mistrust and even perpetuated the fear that a hypnotist can take over someone’s mind. I can assure that nothing else could be further from the truth.
What is the definition of hypnosis?
If you look up in the dictionary what is the definition of hypnosis, you will find quite a short, straight to the point answer. However, I think this needs to be explained further, albeit in a simplistic way.
Hypnosis is really a very natural state of mind. As a matter of fact, everybody is hypnotised on a daily basis many times.
How many times have you ever realised that for a minute or so, you’ve been daydreaming? Or have you ever experienced a situation when you were driving somewhere, then after arriving at your destination, you could not remember how you got there? In both cases, you were actually in a natural, mild hypnotic trance.
The healing capacity of this natural state of mind has been documented for centuries. The word Hypnosis is derived from the Greek word Hypnos, which means sleep. However, this does not mean that you will go to sleep. On the contrary, your awareness is enhanced while in a hypnotic state.
Hypnosis is real!
Technically speaking, it is a very deep state of relaxation brought on by hypnotic induction. In this state of altered consciousness, the conscious mind is slowed down to a sleep-like state.
This state of mind allows the therapist to access a subject’s subconscious mind, so that appropriate hypnotherapy can be applied. Even if it feels like a dream state, hypnosis is real and very powerful.
This is a rather basic explanation, so you can understand that hypnosis is nothing mysterious, magical, or even evil. It is a very safe, and enjoyable, naturally occurring phenomenon.
As I explained, hypnosis is a naturally occurring state of mind which Kookaburra Advanced Hypnotherapy utilises to heal people, and improve one’s quality of the life.
You cannot be hypnotised without your consent.
All hypnosis is self-hypnosis and you can’t be hypnotised if you aren’t willing to be! In fact, for hypnosis to be effective, I need your full co-operation and participation. Obviously, because of this, you will be completely aware of what is happening during the whole session.
Can I learn hypnosis?
Of course you can! As a matter of fact, every client at Kookaburra Hypnotherapy will learn a very simple hypnotic technique. It is a form of self-hypnosis, which will enable you to relax very deeply in a matter of seconds. It is almost like taking a hypnotic drink, because you will fall into deep relaxation almost instantly. This technique is very useful for your quick regeneration and I call it the Anxiety Buster. You see, when you are relaxed, you cannot be anxious.
Knowledge is power and we like to empower our clients, which makes hypnosis in Melbourne even more powerful and effective. We’ve combined our hypnosis techniques with a lot of information so you’ll get all the necessary tools to improve your life. You will learn hypnosis triggers and recognise all the signs, so that nobody would be able to use it on you without your consent.
Your mental health is very important
In this instance, mental health refers to how well you are able to adjust to, and successfully confront the challenges of your life. How balanced and happy is your life experience?
Are you relaxed most of the time or do you feel tense?
Are you normally patient, or have you a short fuse?
Are you typically resilient or do you crumble at the first sign of stress?
Are you in a good mood most of the time or do you feel depressed?
Is your sleep deep and relaxing, or is it shallow with many interruptions?
Do you have strong willpower or will you easily submit to undesirable situations?
If you are experiencing issues with any of the above, Kookaburra Hypnotherapy is here to help.
Maybe now is the time to realise that:
* Happiness is more than absence of pain and sadness.
* Health is more than absence of illness.
* Confidence is more than the absence of self doubts and fear.
You need not suffer any longer because help is practically at your finger tips.
